- Chicken – 1 kg
- Plain Yogurt – 1 cup
- Oil or Ghee – 1/2 cup
- Onions, finely chopped – 2
- Ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
- Coriander seeds, crushed – 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds, crushed – 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper – As required
- Salt – to taste
Ingredients for Garnishing
- Fresh Coriander leaves, chopped – 1/2 bunch
- Green Chillies, thinly sliced – 2 to 4
- Ginger, thinly sliced – 1 inch piece
- In a karahi heat the oil on medium high heat and saute ginger and garlic paste in it.
- Add onion in ginger and garlic mixture and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until translucent.
- Add chicken and cook for 20 more minutes. If the water of chicken does not dries, then keep cooking until all the water of chicken dries.
- Add 2 cup of water, cumin, coriander, salt and mix it well.
- Now add yogurt and black pepper. Until the oil separates from the gravy and meat tenderize keep cooking on high flame.
- Adjust the seasoning. Garnish with sliced ginger, fresh coriander leaves and green chillies. Delicious white boneless chicken karahi is ready to serve.
